Catalina Shadows Estates is a very nice mixed use subdivision in Oro Valley on the Northwest outskirts of Tucson. Homes in Catalina Shadows are owned by retired people, working couples and families so there is a good variety and mixture of residents living here.
Catalina Shadows Estates at the end of a mile or so long paved access road so there is very little traffic here except for residents. This is not a subdivision that anybody takes a shortcut through to get to somewhere else. This medium sized subdivision sits in an area very close to the Catalina Mountains so many homes for sale in Catalina Shadows Estates have excellent views of the Mountains and those glorious pink mountain sunsets. Catalina Shadows Estates homes are a mixture of contemporary and southwestern styles and there is a lot of variety in here. The streets wind around a bit so that adds some character to the subdivision. A home in Catalina Shadows Estates will cost from the mid $200,000's to the mid $500,000's in today's market. Catalina Shadows Estates homes are served by the Amphitheater School District including the Painted Sky Elementary, Coronado K-8 Middle and Ironwood Ridge High Schools.
