CORE Kitchen & Wine Bar at the Ritz-Carlton in Dove Mountain just northwest of Tucson is one of our favorites. This is luxury dining at it's best. Elegant, Sophisticated and Unparalleled in Quality, this is a wonderful Tucson Restaurant. Located up in Oro Valley, Core Restaurant is well worth the trip no matter where you live in Tucson.
We usually go early (especially in the summer) and have a cocktail on their outdoor patio lounge called "Ignite" and enjoy the flutist up in the rocks overlooking the property and beautiful mountain views.
The food at CORE is "True American Cuisine" featuring starters such as Bigeye Tuna, Prickly Pear Barbecued Quail or Hudson Valley Fois Gras. Seafood dishes like wild Bay of Fundy Atlantic Salmon or Nova Scotia Halibut are delightful. Chicken, Steak, Buffalo or Veal, you name it it's good! We even had Southern Fried Lobster there one time. No matter what you choose you will be delighted. The menu changes monthly so there is always something new and exciting.
A huge wine cellar of almost 3,000 bottles provides an amazing selection of great wines to match any meal. This is truly one of the finest restaurants in Tucson and we love going there. Plan on a leisurely evening, this is the place for a special occasion or romantic dinner, relax and enjoy the ambiance. We have had many special evenings at dining at the Ritz Carlton in Tucson and give it our highest recommendation.
Driving Directions: From Tangerine and Dove Mountain Blvd: Go North on Dove Mountain Blvd to the round-a-bout at the very end. Turn Right and follow the signs to the Ritz Carlton. Map
Other Great Oro Valley Restaurants include McClintock's just to the west in Saguaro Ranch and Harvest Restaurant a really nice little neighborhood gem in the middle of Oro Valley at La Canada & Lambert.
