Frost Gelato shop is located just a little bit south of Oro Valley. in a small upscale shopping complex called Casas Adobes Plaza along with a couple of excellent restaurants and several small interesting shops.
Frost serves up the best gelato in Tucson, and is a fun place to take the kids. There is often some minor entertainment out in front of the shop with one of the "Frosties" out front serving gelato from a cart and clowning around. One night we were there and he was tossing balls of Gelato to kids 10 - 15 feet away and they were trying to catch them in their mouth. What a crack up. There is inside seating and some little cafe tables out in front so you can sit and people watch as you relax and nibble on your gelato. Frost is one of our favorite stops after dinner at the Bluefin Restaurant or the Wildflower Restaurant and we go there often for desert. Casual ice cream parlor environment, fun and goofy. Great place, stop by and check it out. You can wander the shops of Casas Adobes Plaza, have a wonderful dinner in one of the restaurants and have some fun all at the same time.
