El Tour De Tucson comes to Tucson every winter and attracts Bicycle Racers from all over the world. Race day for the El Tour De Tucson this year is on Saturday November 22, 2008.

The 2007 El Tour De Tucson Bike Race was named the 2007 National Bike Rally. This year's race is shaping up to be a great one! Another great sporting event here in Tucson is the annual Tucson Marathon

Wintertime temperatures in Tucson for race week usually average in the low 40's for start time and reach the mid 70's by the afternoon so it makes for perfect race weather.

This is a Large Race with as many as 10,000 entrants estimated for this year's El Tour De Tucson Race. Be sure to book your hotel rooms early because they fill up fast.

There are many fun and interesting things to do here in Tucson either before or after the race. Many race participants make a short vacation out of this event and stick around for a few days after the race for some Tucson Golfing or maybe take a day to tour of some of our beautiful Tucson Homes.

Driving Directions: The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum is located West of Tucson. Go West on Speedway which will turn into Gates Pass Road, Continue on over the pass and turn right on Kinney road and follow the signs to the Desert Museum. MAP
