Pima Air & Space Museum is a fascinating place. Plan on spending some time if you like airplanes! The Museum is open from 9:AM to 5:PM every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas. This is pretty much of a guy thing. Fella's if the wife doesn't want to go, don't insist, just go with your kids or buddies. Then you can spend as long as you like looking at the planes and exhibits. There are dozens of planes scattered all over the grounds, they take you on a little bus to drive around and see them and explain them to you. After the bus drive you are free to walk around and get up close and personal with any of the planes you like. Be sure and take your camera, there are lots of cool shots with you or the kids standing next to the planes. Pat and Brian really liked the Blackbird SR-71 Spy Plane! If you get hot outside, there are hangers full of exhibits to check out and there is even a snack bar there called the Thunderbirds Grill. They have a Challenger Learning Center and the B-17 390th Memorial Museum is also located on the grounds of the Pima Air and Space Museum. Be sure to take sunglasses and a hat and put on sun lotion as you are out in the sun most of the time looking at all the planes and during the summer especially it can get really hot! Brenda's husband Pat and their boys like this one. But Brenda would rather head to the mall for some new shoes. But ladies, if you like planes, you might find the Pima Air and Space Museum pretty interesting. Email Brenda or call her Today at 520-918-5968 |
