Tucson Urban Fishing FAQ's

Tucson Fishing: The City of Tucson has developed a Tucson Municipal Fishing Program through it's Parks and Recreation Department.

There are four Lakes in Tucson that have been designated as "Tucson Urban Fishing Program Locations". You will need a Urban Fishing License to fish in these lakes if you are 14 years old or older. You can obtain your Tucson fishing license at almost any sporting goods store in town.

Here are the Locations of the four Lakes:

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS PARK (Silverbell Lake)
4600 N. Silverbell Rd. Tucson, AZ 85745 - Map

The Urban Fishing Program in Tucson has several Rules and Regulations that apply to all the lakes in their program. These Tucson Lakes are only open during daylight hours and gas motors are not allowed on any of the lakes. Small boats and canoes only and you must have all the proper flotation devices in the boat. No swimming or wading, leash law applies, no glass containers, no feeding the birds and so on.
