The Ventana Canyon Golf Resort lies at the foot of the Majestic Catalina Mountains in Tucson in a Beautiful Canyon called Ventana. Two amazing golf courses are nestled there at the Lowes Ventana Resort, the Mountain and Canyon Courses. These World Class courses were designed by Tom Fazio and have won the Gold Medal award from Golf Magazine and also the Best of Golf Award from Links Magazine. These golf courses are considered "Must Plays" for any visit to Tucson. The scenery is second to none, The views are fantastic, and the condition of the courses is always Perfect. The courses each have dramatic holes carved out of the native canyon walls and some of the elevated holes have views overlooking the city of Tucson below.

The Ventana courses are a semi-private golf club, so each day one course is reserved for the membership and the other is available for public play and resort guests staying at The Lodge.

Take a close look at the number 3 hole on the Mountain Course next time you play. This hole cost about a million dollars to construct. The green is laid directly on top of the native mountain side and has an engineered heating and cooling system underneath it! This is necessary to cool the green in the summer and keep it from freezing in the winter, Wow!
