There are several mountain ranges in the Tucson area with the Tucson Mountains lying to the West of Tucson, The Catalina's lie north and east of Tucson and the Tortolita Mountains to the northwest.

The Tucson Mountains in the west have foothills leading up to them similar to the Catalina foothills but with a totally different neighborhood flavor and view.

The Tucson Mountains offer sweeping views of the City of Tucson in the valley below with the majestic Catalina's rising behind the city. This affords some really dramatic views of the Tucson city lights which is a very popular view for many. Because these are foothills there are also incredible views of the Tucson Mountains from a great many of the homes built in this area.

Lot sizes tend to be larger in the Tucson Mountains than in many newer area's of the city. The lots in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains wander across the gently rising slops of the foothills and the terrain is often hilly and elevated which is why this area has so many great view lots.
