Rocky Point Mexico, also known as "Tucson's Beach"" is a bustling little Mexican Coastal Resort Community located on the Sea of Cortez just a few short hours Southwest of Tucson.
Rocky Point (Puerto Penasco is it's real Mexican name), was a sleepy little Mexican fishing village just a few short years ago but is now developing into a major resort destination. There is nice beach just a couple miles north of town called Sandy Beach which is experiencing an explosive growth of high end resort properties. Rocky Point reminds us a lot of Kaanapali in Maui with the little town a couple miles south of the major strip of Beach Resort hotels. Many Rocky Point Condos are using the "CondoTel" (Condo/Hotel) concept there where you can buy your condo in one of the resorts and then rent it out if you wish or just keep it for your personal use. This concept has been popular in Hawaii and Florida for many years and is now spreading to other resort areas.
